Mrs. Obama will begin a week long trip in Africa where she will visit Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Botswana. The White House has billed this trip as "a continuation of Mrs. Obama’s work to engage young people, especially girls and young women, at home and abroad. From mentoring students in the United States and encouraging them to gain international experience, to encouraging young people to excel academically, serve, and lead, Mrs. Obama has delivered these messages during her visits to Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, India, Mexico and the United Kingdom."
