A Seat with the First Lady

Michelle Obama at the State of the Union 2010

First Lady Michelle Obama will have several extraordinary Americans sitting with her at today's State of the Union address. As customary, the White House invites ordinary citizens, and often heroes in their communities to sit with the First Lady in her special box during the speech. This year's guests include people connected to the Tuscon, Arizona shooting including Daniel Hernandez, the intern credited with saving Rep. Gabrielle Giffords's life, Dr. Peter Rhee, the surgeon who worked on many victims of the shootings, as well the family of Christina Green, the nine year old who passed away that fatal day.

Other guests include Iraq and Afghanistan vets, small business owners, and young entrepreauers. You can check out the State of the Union at 9 pm tonight.
