Former First Lady Jackie Kennedy is covering this week's People Magazine. The magazine peruses through seven interviews with historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. that she did only four months after President John Kennedy had past. The article also features interviews with other people close to her like her friend John Barlow and her former Secret Security agent, Clint Hill.
ABC News will air a news special on the life and times of Jackie Kennedy on Tuesday, September 13. Anchored by Diana Sawyer, "Jacqueline Kennedy: In Her Own Words" will include never aired interviews with historian Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.
She recorded the interviews with the famed historian shortly after her husband's death, but had ordered them sealed until fifty years after her death. The two hour special will shed light on many parts of her life including her memories of her husband, Pres. John F. Kennedy, her life in the White House and her role as first lady.

While the movie had received some backlash for some of its harsh portrayals of the beloved family, many never thought it would come to this.
Upon completion of the production of The Kennedys, History has decided not to air the 8-part miniseries on the network,” a rep for the network tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand.
I am really saddened by the news because I was really looking forward to seeing the project. I really hope another network picks up the movie. For now, we can just watch the released trailer and wait.
